There is no such thing as a "perfect diet." Biochemically, we are all unique and have individual needs for how much to eat, what to eat, and when to eat. There are also tons of social and psychological components to eating as well. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising?

With all of this in mind, we need to explore the best way to feed our body that matches our current lifestyle and brings us back into balance which ultimately brings us to better, long lasting health. By looking at your life as a whole we can begin exploring where lifestyle changes may need to be made.

The elimination diet, (or exploration diet as I sometimes refer to it) is one approach that’s extremely useful in uncovering hidden food sensitivities. It is NOT a diet at all but a self discovery of what works and what does not work for you. It addresses many of our individual needs, and benefits nearly everyone who tries it. Plus, its kind of fun! It’s like planning your own research project – on yourself.

So What Is An Elimination Diet?

Well, it’s all in the title: you eliminate certain foods for a period of time, usually about three weeks, then slowly reintroduce specific foods and monitor your symptoms for possible reactions. The best part is that we guide and support you through this process.
